HOW DOES D.A.W.N. WORK?
Through
a strictly
confidential questionnaire and personal interview, D.A.W.N. gives you
the opportunity to express who and what you are, what your special
needs
might be, your likes and dislikes, and your goals and expectations.
Your
application is processed with care and sensitivity to your specific
needs and desires. Careful consideration is given to you and your
prospective referral's type of disability and level of intelligence
before any introductions are made. By conducting a personal or
telephone
interview, you set the parameters as to the types of individuals you
will feel most comfortable with. As part of your application, you will
submit a brief profile on yourself, copies of which will be sent to
prospective referrals. Your initial introduction will take place via
postal mail through an exchange of personal
profiles.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
If you
are a person
with a disability, the parent or relative of someone who is differently
abled, or are able bodied and would just like to meet compatible people
who happen to have a disability, you have three online options on the
buttons below. You can also request additional information by phoning
D.A.W.N.'s director, Wendy Wolf, at 520-579-7253, or write D.A.W.N. at
P.O. Box 90195, Tucson, AZ 85752-0195, to receive your
application. After your completed application is received together with
a non-refundable initial processing fee, you will be scheduled for a
personal interview with the Director. Applicants outside the
Tucson/Phoenix areas will be interviewed by phone. There are three
options for your initial processing fee; $79.95 for an initial 3
months,
$129.95 for an initial 6 months, or $189.95 for an initial 12 months.
Thereafter a 6 month membership renewal is only $79.95 or FREE in the
unlikely event you have not had a referral in the preceding
period.
